When Gwyneth Paltrow stepped onto the red-carpet several years ago with circular brown marks on her back, she set tongues wagging.
She later revealed that the blotches were a result of the famous acupuncture treatment of cupping.
And now it seems that AnnaLynne McCord is the latest Hollywood star to be a fan of the alternative medicine method.
Has she been cupped? AnnaLynne McCord was spotted with two large circular brown spots on her back today, thought to be a result of the famous acupuncture method of cupping.
The 25-year-old 90210 star was spotted with two large circular spots on her back, a tell-tale sign of the treatment, as she walked around the set of her hit series 90210 today.
Very slim McCord had paired her revealing top with some light blue skinny jeans tucked into combat boots.
She accessorised the look with a black belt adorned with medallions and a long necklace.
During the day, the actress was less constricted in a leopard print maxi-skirt, which was slit to the thigh and revealed a whole lot of leg when it billowed in the wind.
Taking a break between scenes, she had slipped on a pair of comfortable sheepskin moccasins and was seen sipping on an iced-tea.
Cupping is a celebrity detox fad favoured by the likes of Gwyneth and Victoria Beckham.
A form of acupuncture, it involves heated glass cups being applied to the skin, and is believed to stimulate the movement of blood and energy.
Gwyneth once credited it with helping her to find 'Mr Right' in the form of Coldplay singer Chris Martin, whom she married in December 2003.
She said it also helped her cope with the death of her father, Bruce.
The actress's managers were forced to reveal that she was a fan of the fad after she was spotted on the red-carpet of a 2004 film screening with the tell-tale marks on her back.
'It was acupuncture treatment,' they said in a statement to the media.
'She wasn't being treated for anything. It's a common procedure for her.'
Meanwhile AnnaLynne's show returns to screens in October, with Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen set to appear in the opening episode.
The Canadian singer, 26, will play the headliner at Adriana's Las Vegas performance, according to TV Guide.
Last season's finale ended on a cliffhanger with viewers uncertain if Tristan Wilds' character Dixon had died in a car crash.
